The season's two-year-old racing gets serious at Randwick with the richest race so far, the $250,000 Inglis Nursery.

Trainer Gerald Ryan will have two of the 12 runners in Saturday's 1000m feature and is confident they can get a share of the prize.

Courgette and She's Choice cost $25,000 and $40,000 respectively at the Inglis Premier Sale in Melbourne.

In the absence of boom filly My Amelia, Courgette is the pre-post favourite and Ryan has a high opinion of the daughter of Charge Forward.

"Courgette is not a big filly but she is fast," Ryan said.

"She's by Charge Forward and was very impressive in her barrier trial win.

"She's Choice is by Choisir and is a much bigger horse and I've been happy with her trials.

"But she will have to go back from her wide draw (11) so Courgette will probably get the better run."

Ryan also has runners in the other two feature races with Adnocon to run in the Group Two Villiers Stakes (1600m) and Ego's Dare to contest the Listed Razor Sharp (1200m).

Although the Villiers is a big step up from Adnocon's last-start fourth to Tagus over 1500 metres at Rosehill two weeks ago, Ryan says he has a few things in his favour.

"He drops a heap in weight and we will be getting permission to ride him back," he said.

"Going down five kilos is a big help and if he can get a good run in the race that will also help."

Ego's Dare has been freshened up since his fourth in the Yalumba Cup (1300m) at Hawkesbury six weeks ago.

He has drawn wide at his past four starts but has barrier six on Saturday and is on the 53kg limit with Blake Shinn to ride.

"It must be going to be wet because everything else has gone right for him," Ryan said.

"He's got a good barrier for a change and a good weight but what we don't want is any more rain."

Randwick was rated a dead (5) on Friday afternoon after overnight rain in Sydney.

Ego's Dare is being prepared for a tilt at the Magic Millions Cup (1400m) at the Gold Coast on January 9.
