Clarry Conners believes stakeswinner Georgette Silk is back on track after a setback and will begin her spring campaign at Rosehill on Saturday week.

Conners has earmarked a restricted 1100m race for three-year-olds as the filly's return providing she comes through a Warwick Farm barrier trial on Friday in good order.

The Widden Stakes winner was being prepared to resume in the San Domenico Stakes (1000m) at Randwick last month but an elevated temperature kept her out of that race and made Conners change tack.

"She had a virus and it took me a while to get it right but I'm very happy with her now," Conners said.

"There's a three-year-old race for her eight days after the trial which will be perfect."

The daughter of Flying Spur is entered to trial over 800m on Friday.

Conners said her trial and the race at Rosehill would determine if the filly heads to Melbourne this spring.

"If I'm not happy then she'll have another spell and I'll bring her back for the autumn," the trainer said.

A day after the Warwick Farm trials, Conners will be represented by Golden Slipper runner-up Decision Time and talented mare Dorf Command in stakes races at Rosehill.

Decision Time drops in class and distance in the Listed Heritage Stakes (1200m) after finishing fourth in the $1 million Group One Golden Rose (1400m) on August 28.

"His run was good in the Golden Rose, he was lucky he missed all the trouble and he was there putting in his usual gutsy run," Conners said.

"I'm happy with him and he's down in class in this race, I think it's a nice race for him."

Dorf Command finished sixth and was no match for the brilliant More Joyous in the Sheraco Stakes (1100m) first-up, but her final 600m sectional was bettered only by the Gai Waterhouse-trained winner.

The five-year-old won second-up from a let-up at Warwick Farm last preparation and Conners said she had trained on well since the Sheraco in preparation for Saturday's Research Stakes (1200m).

"Barrier one probably wasn't the best barrier for her (first-up) and she was back about eight lengths off the lead and they just went too slow," he said.

"She worked home well and I'm very happy with her going into this race."
