Trainer Desleigh Forster rates the interstate invaders in the Champagne Classic inferior to their northern counterparts and is tipping an all-Queensland finish in Saturday's Group Two feature at Doomben.

Forster will saddle up consistent colt Adebisi and is looking forward to the youngster's biggest challenge of his career.

Adebisi returned following a two-month break to go under in a tight finish to Toowoomba colt Spirit Of Boom in the Listed Ken Russell Memorial (1200m at the Gold Coast earlier this month.

Forster's confidence with Adebisi, who will again be ridden by Shane Scriven, soared after the son of Shovhog drew perfectly in barrier one for the 1200-metre race.

"He had a wide draw at the Gold Coast and finally he's got a decent alley," Forster said.

"From the rails Shane will be able to put him in the box seat and there's a lot in the race which will probably want to use their speed.

"This horse always jumps well. He did it from his wide gate at the Gold Coast and Shane had no option but to sit three wide.

"He's a big horse and he's not the type of horse you can drag back."

Forster, whose previous best wins were at Listed level, respects several of the interstate horses, particularly the Lee Freedman-trained Smokin' Joey who scored impressively on debut at Caulfield on May 1.

"Freedman's horse won well but he's still got to get over the trip here and run this direction," she said.

"I don't know if the Sydney horses are as good as ours.

"I think the Queenslanders look better than the visitors and I rate Tony Gollan's Spirit Of Boom and Buffering as the two dangers to us.

"They (Queenslanders) could easily fill the first three placings."

Forster is aiming Adebisi for the Group Two Sires' Produce Stakes (1400m) and Group One TJ Smith at Eagle Farm next month.

Both races are only a week apart but Forster holds no fears about Adebisi backing up.

Forster is hoping Adebisi, who is yet to miss a place with two wins and three seconds in five starts, could earn a spring campaign with good performances during the winter.

"I'll be guided by what he does in his next few runs and if he's competitive he's entitled to a trip to Melbourne for the spring," she said.
