Neither Bart nor Anthony Cummings will have a Golden Slipper runner next Saturday but both trainers will be well represented in the BMW, the country's richest 2400m weight-for-age race.

Bart Cummings is expecting Melbourne Cup winner Viewed to beat stablemate Moatize at Rosehill while his son has high hopes Zavite and Road To Rock will be the ones to lower Theseo's colours.

Viewed and Moatize finished second and third to the Gai Waterhouse-trained Theseo in the Ranvet Stakes (2000m) while Road To Rock was fifth, less than two lengths from the winner.

Anthony Cummings has changed plans with Road To Rock, deciding to step him up in distance rather than aim at the Doncaster (1600m) on April 18.

"He doesn't look like he will get in the Doncaster field and I think he deserves a chance at the longer race," Cummings said.

"Zavite has been working very well and shows no signs of having had a hard campaign."

Since he won the Australia Day Cup at Randwick, Zavite has been on the move running second in the Hobart Cup before winning the Launceston and Adelaide Cups.

He is headed to the Sydney Cup (3200m) on Anzac Day and is at $11 with Moatize the $4.40 favourite with TAB Sportsbet.

Moatize finished sixth in the Melbourne Cup and has been behind Viewed in their three runs this preparation.

That's how Bart Cummings expects it to be again.

"Both horses are fantastic but if I had to pick I'd say Viewed over will beat his stablemate," he said.

"He is more experienced and a better weight-for-age horse."

Theseo, who has won three Group One trophies this season, finished a close seventh in the 2007 Queensland Derby won by Empires Choice on a slow track at his only attempt at 2400 metres.

Prior to the Derby he won the Group Three Premier's Cup over 2200 metres.

As well as the Ranvet, Theseo claimed the Epsom Handicap (1600m) and Mackinnon Stakes (2000m) in the spring.

Waterhouse won the 2008 BMW with Tuesday Joy but Grand Armee and Desert War, frontrunners like Theseo, finished second and fourth respectively in 2005 and 2007.
