Looking good...Anthony Cummings has Victoria Derby winner Fiveandahalfstar spot on

Looking good...Anthony Cummings has Victoria Derby winner Fiveandahalfstar in top nick to take on the classy imports in The BMW at Rosehill on Saturday. The Australian-bred 3YO is the $3.30 fav for the weight-for-age race which is dominated by horses that began their careers overseas. "I'm very happy with him, he is in good shape," Cummings says. "I just thought this was the right option for him going towards the Derby. He went well in the Ranvet, and I think he will be even better suited at the 2400 metres." Foreteller, which beat Fiveandahalfstar in the Ranvet, is second elect at $7, while Maluckyday, another Aussie, is at $8.

Kiwi trainer Gary Hennessy has scrapped Ocean Park’s international campaign following the Cox Plate winner’s flop in Saturday night’s Grp 1 Dubai Duty Free at Meydan. Ocean Park beat only two runners home, finishing more than 10 lengths behind Godolphin galloper Sajjhaa. It was Ocean Park's worst career performance and probably means he will be retired. Hennessy found heat in one of Ocean Park’s forelegs on the morning after the race. His planned UK trip is now off.
