Melbourne Cup winner Viewed has deposed Theseo as favourite for the $2.25 million BMW with a field of 10 to run in Saturday's staying feature at Rosehill.

Viewed's stablemate Moatize is missing from the line-up with a knee injury which has put his Sydney Cup bid in doubt.

The Bart Cummings-trained four-year-old has been the early favorite for the Sydney Cup (3200m) on April 25 for some weeks and will undergo X-rays on Wednesday to determine the extent of the problem.

TAB Sportsbet put Viewed up at $2.80 for the BMW after the field was declared with Theseo at $3.40.

Viewed ran second to Theseo in the Ranvet Stakes (2000m) and Cummings said the extra distance would suit.

"He is a stayer and the 2400 metres is what he has been working up to," Cummings said.

The prospect of a wet track will not worry Viewed who won the 2008 Brisbane Cup (2400m) on a heavy track by seven lengths.

Trainer Gai Waterhouse says it is of no concern to Theseo who has less experience in the wet but was brilliant to win last year's Epsom Handicap (1600m) on a slow track.

Theseo's only attempt at 2400 metres was when he ran seventh in the 2007 Queensland Derby but Waterhouse said he gave every indication the trip would not trouble him.

"He has been working brilliantly and will give them a run for their money," she said.

"He races like he is looking for the distance."

The only mare is the BMW field is Zarita who will be ridden by Dwayne Dunn who was successful in having a careless riding suspension reduced on Tuesday.

Trainer Pat Hyland said he had six jockeys lined up to replace Dunn on Zarita had his appeal against the suspension and severity of the penalty failed.

Zarita is a $16 chance and comes into the race off a fourth in the Australian Cup won by Niconero from Theseo and Zagreb who is at $18.

Master O'Reilly is on the third line of betting at $5 and the 2007 Caulfield Cup winner has firmed to $6.50 for the Sydney Cup (3200m) on April 5 alongside Moatize who has eased from $4.50 ahead of his veterinary tests.
