Successful Victoria Derby jockey Clare Lindop continued her winning run at Flemington when she landed the Cadbury Roses Stakes on Exalted Keetah.

Lindop delivered another blow to punters on the three-year-old filly who started at $26 after she won last Saturday's Derby on the Leon Macdonald-trained Rebel Raider at $101.

Exalted Keetah came with a well-timed run down the centre of the track to hit the front at the 200 metres and win racing away by 2-1/4 lengths from Tigresque ($10) with Yesterday ($5.50) a long head away third.

Lindop was thrilled to win for Adelaide trainer Jim Smith and owners Ken and Helen Smith who have been among her best supporters.

They also owned the Smith-trained Exalted Time who catapulted Lindop into the history books as the first Australian female to win a Group One race when taking out the 2006 Adelaide Cup.

"The Adelaide Cup was my biggest win until the Derby and it is a fantastic thrill to win again for Ken and Helen as they have been good owners to me," Lindop said.

Lindop was booked for Exalted Keetah before her Derby win and the filly was her only Oaks Day ride until she picked up a late mount on Flip, trained by Barbara Marshman, in the Sunrise Cup.

"This has been an unbelievable week for me," Lindop said.

"There are 800 jockeys in Australia and this is what we all strive for and it is fantastic."

Lindop will drive back to Adelaide after riding Rebel Raider's stablemate Serious Speed in the Group One Emirates Stakes at Flemington on Saturday.

Jim Smith's son Ben said Exalted Keetah, who was stakes-placed as a two-year-old in Adelaide, deserved her chance at Flemington after a luckless third at Morphettville on October 25.

"She missed the start by five lengths last start and we thought we would bring her over and give it a go," Smith said.

"What a great result it is for everyone."

Exalted Keetah has now won two of her eight starts and has only missed a placed once.

Lindop was having her first ride on the Blevic filly and said she travelled like a winner a long way from home.

"She relaxed well and when I peeled out at the 400 metres I was a little bit confident," Lindop said.
