Ron Quinton has pencilled in a date with Sydney's top fillies for M'Lady Pedrille after she resumes at Randwick on Saturday.

The Listed Reginald Allen winner makes her comeback in Saturday's Benchmark 75 Hcp (1200m) against her own age and sex with Quinton also looking towards running the filly in the Group Two Light Fingers Stakes (1200m) at Randwick two weeks later.

Awaiting there will be a host of Sydney's top three-year-old fillies including Flight Stakes winner Secret Admirer and the Gai Waterhouse-trained More Strawberries.

M'Lady Pedrille, winner of two of her eight starts, has strengthened in her time off and Quinton hopes the daughter of Al Maher can take another step up this preparation after winning at Listed level in the spring.

"I hope she can and I suppose the testing will be coming up," Quinton said.

"I thought she had a pretty good preparation last time in, she's had another spell, she's a bit older and matured that bit more so I hope she can take another step this preparation.

"She won the Reginald Allen and beat a good filly of Gai Waterhouse's (Zutara) that day.

"The filly of Grahame Begg's, Secret Admirer, was a bit unlucky in the same race and came out and won the Flight Stakes so I think the form around her isn't too bad."

M'Lady Pedrille was spelled after finishing 10th as favourite in a fillies and mares event at Randwick on October 16.

She was put through her paces in a 900m Rosehill barrier trial on January 18 and ran a close second to Red Tracer, who is also among the nominations for Saturday's race.

Tim Clark has ridden M'Lady Pedrille four times for two wins and takes the ride again on Saturday.

Quinton opted for Clark's experience on the filly rather than claiming with an apprentice.

"I'm very happy with her and she has trialled nicely," the trainer said.

"Tim (Clark) was very happy with her and I went and had a good look at it on the film as well and it looked pretty good.

"She's going into a suitable race for her first run back, she's got a bit of weight (58kg) but that's her rating so she's got to carry it."

Saturday's race has attracted a handy field with the Matthew Smith-trained Slow The Flow set to resume after finishing fourth in the Flight Stakes in the spring.

Red Tracer, a full-sister to Shellscrape, has also shown potential in her four starts and Peter Snowden has nominated Classics who raced in the Run To The Rose and Heritage Stakes in the spring.
