Trevor Bailey won't be distracted by his Group One ambition with Faster Son at the end of the month and hopes to be in the spotlight at Eagle Farm on Wednesday.

Bailey is excited about Faster Son's claims for the Oakleigh Plate (1100m) at Caulfield following the four-year-old's sixth to Catapulted in the Group Three Rubiton Stakes over the same distance on the same track last Saturday.

"It was a top run. He got into trouble early on and a couple of things went against him," Bailey said.

"That'll top him off nicely for the Oakleigh Plate."

In the meantime it will be business as usual for Bailey who will saddle up four runners at Eagle Farm.

Former Sydneysider Bolocco Miss will start off Bailey's team in the Sky Racing Handicap (1200m) followed by Catallion in the www.brc.com.au Handicap (1500m), Dance At Midnight in the Sky Racing Plate (1600m) and Supreme Affair in the Mittys Handicap (1200m).

"I think Catallion is probably my best chance and Bolocco Miss also will be very competitive," Bailey said.

Catallion is dropping back in grade after going down by five lengths when 10th to Demanding Miss in a 1615-metre class six at Doomben 10 days ago.

The son of Lion Heart has won five of his 18 starts and was unlucky in his last appearance when held up for a run.

Bolocco Miss has started only twice for Bailey since being transferred from top Sydney trainer Chris Waller.

The daughter of Hussonet scored easily on debut for Bailey, winning over 1200 metres against her own sex at Ipswich on November 19, before resuming with a close fifth to Pointe Dancer over 1000 metres at Eagle Farm on Australia Day.

"She won well at Ipswich but was galloped on and stripped her hind tendon," Bailey said.

"It wasn't serious but she had a few staples put in the wound and we had to put her out for a break.

"She was held up for a run last start but it was only a 1000-metre race and that's not her go.

"Hopefully she'll be competitive again."

Bailey rates the Gillian Heinrich-trained Catalan Miss as the main threat to Bolocco Miss.

"Gillian's horse looks our main danger but she hasn't raced for a month," he said.

Catalan Miss, who scored successive wins on her home track at the Gold Coast in August, finished fifth to Gai's Choice at her last appearance on a heavy track in the Magic Millions Quality (1300m) on January 15.
