Back from a break of almost 6 weeks, (7) Vintage Lad 8/1 is likely to be primed to produce a big performance in race 6, a BM78 hdcp 2100m at Sandown Lakeside on Sunday. The 4YO, trained by Mick Kent, ran 8th/12 at Sandown Hillside 1800m (BM70) on June 18 after striking interference from the 300m to the post. He was btn almost 7 lens but the margin is deceptive. Two runs back, when fresh off a break, he ran a close 3rd/9 at Sandown-H 1800m behind Live For Today. Kent will have kept Vintage Lad right up to the mark during the break to have him ready for today's 2100m. I like the booking of Kate Mallyon. This in-form rider claims 1.5kgs so Vintage Lad is in with 54.5kgs, a drop of 5.5kgs on the weight impost he carried last start (60kgs, Lt 54).
