From RACING POST in Hong Kong

Dr Good Habit handled the all-weather well at his only appearance on it last season, and the four-year-old should be well suited taking his form to that surface at Sha Tin on Wednesday night in the Camellia Handicap (1,650m).

The John Size-trained gelding is a son of Tale Of The Cat and the majority of his stock seen in Hong Kong have coped well with the all-weather track with some, like Byron and Chater D'Cat even proving to be specialists on it.

Dr Good Habit (Joao Moreira) finished third at his debut run last year over 1,200m on the all-weather in Class Four before making more of a name for himself over a little bit further on the turf.

He has since taken himself up to Class Two, Wednesday night's race looks an ideal spot for Dr Good Habit to win his first on the artificial track and a chance for the gelding's many backers last start to recoup their losses.

On that occasion, Dr Good Habit was dropping back from a close third over 1,600m to 1,400m and had to be used hard from a wide gate, burning up his energy in the first half of the race to get forward.

He turned for home with little left in the tank and dropped out to finish closer to last than first as the favourite, but the run had total excuse written all over it.

Back up in trip, Dr Good Habit finds a race without a great deal of speed in it and Moreira should be able to find the lead quickly from gate two, or take a box seat trail if some other runner wants to usurp him.
