THE Victorian Racing Club is hoping that Black Caviar could provide it with its most successful Super Saturday since the decision in 2005 to run the Newmarket Handicap and Australian Cup on the same day, reports The Age.

It says: The previous year, when Lonhro scored a last-stride win in the cup on the Monday, is still the benchmark for the VRC as 27,000 attended Flemington.

But Black Caviar, unbeaten in her nine starts, is on the cusp of becoming the highest-rated sprinter in the world ever after Saturday's group 1 Newmarket (1200 metres).

Already maintaining a staggering international rating of 123, many experts believe that even if beaten, the four-year-old mare will be given a ranking of 126 when the figures are released at the end of this month.
