AUSTRALIAN sprinters have proved themselves world beaters, and trainer Anthony Cummings believes Road To Rock can emulate them over a longer distance in Singapore, reports the Sydney Morning Herald.

It adds: Rock To Rock will contest next month's Singapore International Cup over 2000 metres at the peak of his powers following his Queen Elizabeth Stakes win at Randwick on Saturday.

''That was his best run this campaign,'' Cummings said. ''He had just kept improving since [his second in] the Doncaster and he might still be on the way up. He showed the turn of foot in that win that he'll need to be successful over there.

''He has had the sort of preparation that will allow him to acquit himself very well over there and it has always been in the back of our minds.''

Cummings's international experience with Casino Prince in Hong Kong and Turffontein and Zavite in New Zealand has given him an insight into what is needed to be successful with Road To Rock. ''There is definitely some tricks to getting it right and those trips will help me in Singapore,'' he said.

Road To Rock will head to Melbourne this week in preparation to fly out to Singapore with sprinters Eagle Falls and Gold Trail, which will run in the KrisFlyer Sprint on May 16.
