JIM CASSIDY is being enticed to ride in India, reports the Sydney Morning Herald. The grand slam-winning horseman confirmed yesterday Indian race players had been in touch, and he wasn't ruling it out.

The SMH report adds: ''You always keep your options open in this game,'' he said. ''They obviously heard I'm back and in form. They've dangled a carrot but I've been flat out and haven't had a chance to think about it too much.''

Cassidy said he expected to know a lot more within a week. ''Hopefully, I'll sit down with the people in the next couple of days and see what they want,'' he said, before adding with a laugh: ''If they're offering $US10 million [$11.35m] for a season, I'll be taking it.''

Cassidy returned to race riding last week after a three-month absence. He sliced the tips off two fingers with a hedge trimmer, and required operations to stitch them back together.

Cassidy rode a double at Wyong last Wednesday, which was followed by a hat-trick of victories at Canterbury under lights last Thursday.

''I'm more than happy how things are going, it is good to be injury-free,'' he said. ''I only had the one ride last Saturday, and just got beat on News Alert. I've got four at Canterbury tomorrow, and I'm looking forward to them.''

Cassidy rides Cat's Diamond in the Computer Air Handicap, last-start winner Comesca in the Hastie Services Handicap, debutant Sleepy Fox in The Integra Handicap and Clevergaze in the final event.
