REFRESHED from a pre-Christmas break in Hong Kong, premier jockey Nash Rawiller hit six winners last week and there is more to come with Golden Rose runner-up Squamosa to return at Randwick on Boxing Day, reports The Age.

It says: Rawiller rode a winner during the International jockey challenge in Hong Kong and then had a couple days of rest before coming back last Wednesday with a personal best four winners at Randwick. He continued the run, steering Swift Alliance and Fusakeo to victory on Saturday.

''It's a good way to come back, riding winners straight away,'' Rawiller said. ''The freshen-up did me a bit of good.''

Rawiller's attention turns to next month's Magic Millions day, when Squamosa is a $3.40 pre-post favourite for the Magic Millions Guineas. He has had two barrier trials in preparation for a first-up tilt against the older horses in a benchmark 85 race on Sunday.

''Both his trials have been really top class and his work has been strong as well,'' Rawiller said. ''He has come back that bit stronger and I'm really looking forward to this preparation with him because I think it could be special.''

Squamosa had his first start only in July and quickly emerged as a quality three-year-old, winning his first three, including leading all the way in the Run To The Rose.
He lost his unbeaten record in the Golden Rose, when he was brave in defeat when grabbed by Toorak Toff in the final couple of strides.
