Honest gelding Future Solution appears well-placed to score a deserved victory in the $100,000 Swettenham Stud Summer Championship Final (1600m) at Caulfield on Saturday, reports Ben Asgari at Racing Victoria.

Into the sixth run of his campaign, the Kane Harris-trained son of Belong To Me should be ready for the step up to 1600 metres after a third placing behind Le Remas in the Listed John Dillon Stakes (1400m) at Caulfield last Saturday.

Trapped wide throughout, it was a gutsy effort to finish within two and a half lengths of the winner and it is worth noting that Future Solution's latest victory at Flemington on the 22nd of December was after a one week back-up.

Drawn in barrier 10 for jockey Daniel Stackhouse, Future Solution's versatility means he can race either forward or back depending on the early tempo.

Significantly, Future Solution finished fourth from barrier 14 over 1600m in the Listed Winter Championship Final at Flemington last July, the same race in which two of his rivals on Saturday, Gail and Sussuro, finished tenth and eleventh respectively.

At $12 in the early market, Future Solution looks terrific each way value on a quality card of racing at Caulfield.
