RICK Hore-Lacy hasn't ruled out a Blue Diamond and Golden Slipper campaign for Clevadude, which performed poorly in yesterday's Magic Millions 2YO Classic, reports TVN.

It says: Hore-Lacy said Clevadude appeared to have pulled up well and would return to Melbourne, undergo a vet-check then head to the paddock for 10 days.

But, Hore-Lacy said the Blue Diamond and Golden Slipper remained on the agenda for Clevadude, which vets reported pulled up after the Millions with heat stress.

"Those races only come around once in a horse's life time and if you have got a horse good enough to contest them," Hore-Lacy said.

Hore-Lacy said with the race morning scratching of Assail he thought Clevadude would be hard to beat.

But, Clevadude was fractious in the stalls, missed the start and jockey Craig Newitt said the gelding didn't appreciate racing the clockwise direction.

"We're dreadfully disappointed. I think the combination of travelling up there, the heat and the wide gate conspired against him," Hore-Lacy said

"The horse appeared to be fine. He ate up, but when he came back after the race his nostril were flaring, he was really distresses,

"The vet said he was heat stressed and they put him in an air conditioned box to get his core temperature down.
