BLACK Caviar's possible attempt at two more group 1 races in Brisbane next month will depend on her health and fitness rather than whether a flight will be available, according to her trainer Peter Moody, reports The Age.

It says: The unbeaten champion is enjoying a rest away from the limelight near Murchison in northern Victoria, but Moody said yesterday that if he was pleased with her when he inspected her over the next few days, she would travel to Brisbane by road or air for the BTC Cup on May 14.

Procedural changes in the manner horses are moved by air have caused a temporary suspension of the service until after the Easter break, but Moody said this would not affect his decision. ''I was looking at giving her experience in case she does end up going overseas, but it's not the be-all and end-all. I've always got the option of floating her,'' he said.

The highest-rated horse in the world, Black Caviar, who is unbeaten in 12 starts, including the past five at group 1 level, could stretch that to equal Rock Of Gibraltar's record of seven straight group 1 wins if she takes the BTC Cup and the Doomben 10,000 a fortnight later.
