Glamour fillies Faint Perfume and Valdemoro have scared off several potential rivals in Saturday's Group One AJC Australian Oaks at Randwick.

While the deadline for late entries closes on Tuesday, Australian Jockey Club racing manager Colin Tuck is not expecting any belated nominations.

"I think the other two have got the rest rattled,' Tuck said.

"There weren't any (late entries) today and I'm not really expecting any."

Shaune Ritchie elected to run New Zealand Oaks winner Keep The Peace in Saturday's Derby as he believed the colts and geldings were not as strong as the fillies this year.

The move didn't pay dividends with Keep The Peace finishing unplaced.

The Darley-owned Status Quo, runner-up in Saturday's Adrian Knox Stakes (2000m), was also among those being considered for a late Oaks nomination.

However, Tuck said her trainer Peter Snowden indicated she would not press on to the staying feature after she was comfortably accounted for by Speedy Natalie at Randwick.

The Bart Cummings-trained Faint Perfume and Valdemoro from the Tony Vasil stable completely dominate betting for the fillies Classic (2400m).

The pair finished one-two in the Victorian Oaks in the spring and again in the Storm Queen Stakes (2000m) at Rosehill earlier this month.

Faint Perfume got the decision both times and TAB Sportsbet has installed her the $2.70 favourite for Saturday's Randwick feature with Valdemoro next pick at $4.20.

The Peter Moody-trained Speedy Natalie was propelled to the third line of betting at $7.50 after easily winning the Adrian Knox by three lengths.

That trio are the only runners under double figure odds with the Gai Waterhouse-trained Once Were Wild, to be ridden by Nash Rawiller, next best at $15 ahead of Run For Naara at $17.

New Zealand Oaks placegetter November Rain is a $26 chance ahead of her bid to emulate the feat of fellow Kiwi Daffodil who claimed the Randwick blue riband last year.

Trainer Grahame Begg said Devoirs would not back up after disappointing in the Adrian Knox but he will be represented by Palacio De Cristal in the Group One Doncaster Mile (1600m).

The Villiers Stakes winner will have her final serious hitout on Wednesday and Peter Wells has maintained the ride.

Begg could also have up to two runners in the Listed Keith Mackay Quality (1200m) in Mafia Miss and debutante Dreamworker.

Mafia Miss hasn't quite lived up to expectations since being placed in both the Gimcrack and Widden Stakes at her first two starts and beat just one runner home in the Sires' Produce Stakes last Saturday.

"There's a possibility Mafia Miss will back up, Dreamworker will definitely run," Begg said.

"The race wasn't run to suit her on Saturday, it was a very pedestrian type race she got on the bit pulling which was unusual for her.

"If you look at the sectionals for the race it was farcically run which didn't suit her."
