Dealer Principal has shown Anthony Cummings he is pleased to be back home after an unsuccessful Melbourne campaign and the trainer expects him to show punters the same at Rosehill.

The winner of the Rosehill Guineas in April, Dealer Principal will line up as favourite in the Group Two Hill Stakes (1900m) despite his two southern failures when unplaced first-up over 1200m at Caulfield on August 16 before he failed to beat a runner home in the Makybe Diva (1600m) three weeks later.

"He came home the day after the Makybe Diva and has settled back in well," Cummings said.

"He looks nice and bright. I don't know if he just didn't like going in the other direction or just didn't like being away from home.

"We'll find out more tomorrow. Taking him back to Melbourne is not out of the question but it all depends how he performs."

Cummings had originally planned to run Dealer Principal in the Group One Underwood Stakes tomorrow but will now rely on Turffontein for a Group One victory at Caulfield with the four-year-old to line up in the Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes (1400m).

The winner of the Group Two Queensland Guineas in June, Turffontein had no luck first-up in the Listed Clamms Seafood (1100m) at Caulfield on August 30 when fourth to Bel Mer.

At his second start last preparation, Turffontein won the Listed Wellington Racing Club (1400m) at Satruday's venue.

"He has a win at Caulfield, he's won second-up and he is a horse who deserves a Group One," Cummings said.

"He is a very hardy customer and this race will tell us whether to try him at weight-for-age or head to the Toorak Handicap."

Maiden galloper Miss Darcey will be thrown in the deep end at the Sydney meeting when she runs in the Group Three Gloaming Stakes (1800m).

Peter Robl will be reunited with Dealer Principal who he rode to his Rosehill Guineas win and will also be aboard Miss Darcey.

Three starts back, the filly finished 4-3/4 lengths ninth in the Silver Shadow Stakes won by Samantha Miss and has been out of the money in two starts since in fillies' maidens.
