Connections of Rhyno Chaser are hoping a change of scenery will do the trick with the dual stakeswinner.

The four-year-old, who won last year's Listed Dulcify Quality (1800m) and the Listed Baillieu Handicap (1400m), is having his first start for Hawkesbury trainer Wanda Ings at Rosehill on Saturday.

Rhyno Chaser runs in the Franklins Supermarkets Handicap (1400m).

The Catcher In The Rye gelding was trained by Kevin Moses before being transferred to fellow Randwick trainer Graeme Rogerson.

Rhyno Chaser's last start at Rosehill on September 19 was his only run for Rogerson and he moved to Ings' stables shortly after.

Ings is a longtime friend of Rhyno Chaser's owners, Doctor George Fromberg and his son David.

"George had a very good stayer, Imprecetto, when I first came over from New Zealand and I got to know George and David, who was riding then," Ings said.

"Rhyno Chaser's got a few niggling problems and the owners are hoping a change of scenery will help turn him around.

"He's got a big paddock here and he gets out a fair bit, it's very different from that more rushed set-up he's used to in the city."

Rhyno Chaser's last start was his first since a 22-week spell.

Prior to his break he was last in the Doncaster after a third to Orca in the Listed Carbine Club Stakes (1600m).

"I usually try and start from scratch with horses I pick up that are still in work, it can be difficult but so far this horse has been an absolute gem to work with," Ings said.

"But this run will make things a bit clearer for all of us and we'll know exactly where he's at.

"Getting a stakeswinner is very exciting for us and he's the sort of horse that could put us on the map.

"His match fitness is what we have to sort out and after Saturday we'll know more about where he's at and we can make some plans hopefully."

Rhyno Chaser has drawn barrier seven and will be ridden by Grant Buckley who was aboard last start.

Before his Dulcify win, Rhyno Chaser was beaten just a short head by Sousa in the Group Three Spring Stakes (1600m) at Newcastle and two starts after the winning the Baillieu he was 1-1/2 lengths fourth to champion filly Samantha Miss in the Group One Champagne Stakes.
