Talented filly Psychologist showed her career was back on track when she made it two wins from three starts this preparation at Caulfield.

Trainer Tony Vasil said he wanted to see how the three-year-old filly went against the older mares on Saturday before deciding on the remainder of her preparation.

He said there were options for her in Adelaide, Sydney and later on in Queensland.

"She's a peculiar horse in that the way she runs you'd think she'd get seven furlongs (1400m). She's almost too brilliant to get seven," he said.

"In saying she's brilliant she gets back in her races which is strange because on the track all she wants to do is go one hundred miles a hour.

"It's quite bizarre how she jumps and just goes to sleep in a race."

Vasil said Psychologist, who carried 54kg when she landed her third win from seven starts, was strong enough to carry bigger weights if she went back to racing against fillies.

The Choisir filly burst onto the scene 13 months ago with a 4-1/4 length debut win in the Group Three Blue Diamond Prelude (1100m) on her home track at Caulfield.

She was subsequently close up when fifth to Star Witness in the Group One Blue Diamond Stakes (1200m) but was sidelined after two unplaced efforts in Golden Slipper lead-up races.

Psychologist returned from an 11-month injury-enforced break to win over 1000m at Moonee Valley on February 25.

But Vasil said on Saturday he backed her up too quickly when she could finish only fourth to Dubleanny over 1100m at Flemington on March 5.

Again ridden by Mark Zahra, Psychologist, backed from $3.30 to start $2.80 favourite in Saturday's Winning Edge Presentations Cup (1100m), settled fifth of the eight runners before finishing strongly to score by three-quarters of a length from I'm Discreet ($5.50).

Avionics ($21) ran on to finish a length away third.

Leading trainer Peter Moody continued his domination in Melbourne with a winning double on his hometrack to take his tally for the season to 66 wins.

Returntosender ($4.40), ridden by Jason Benbow, landed the Sky High Mt Dandenong Hcp (1400m) while former Queensland galloper Turnitup ($4.20), ridden by Melbourne's leading apprentice Jake Noonan, took out the BTB Australia Directional Drilling Hcp (1400m).

Noonan went one better than his double at Moonee Valley on Friday night when he notched his second metropolitan treble.

He piloted Galbraith ($3.90) home in the Sportingbet Hcp (1000m) for Mornington trainer Peter Healey and Miss Chatter ($15) in the No Fuss Solutions Plate (1400m) to complete a double for Cranbourne trainer Greg Eurell.

Eurell earlier combined with Chris Symons to win with She's Gifted ($7.50) in the LU Simon Builders Hcp (1600m).

Noonan's tally of 28 wins places him sixth in the senior premiership led by Luke Nolen (59).

Benbow's day turned sour when he was suspended for 11 meetings for careless riding aboard beaten favourite City Of Song in the Swettenham Stud Hcp (1000m).

Benbow was outed from Saturday night and can resume on March 31.
