David Payne will launch a triple attack on Saturday's Gloaming Stakes with Sea Lord to back up seven days after his torrid run in the Heritage Stakes.

Sea Lord will join stablemates Praecido and Reem in the Group Three feature over 1800 metres with all three headed to the Spring Champion Stakes.

Blake Shinn and Peter Robl received suspensions at Rosehill on Saturday for separate incidents in the Heritage Stakes with Sea Lord bearing the brunt.

"He got the wind knocked out of him but he's tough and he'll run in the Gloaming," Payne said.

"He copped it at the start of the race and then again in the straight."

Reem ran a close fifth in the Furious Stakes won by More Strawberries but Payne decided to steer away from the Tea Rose (1500m) on Saturday to take on the colts and geldings over the longer distance.

"She's bred to go all day and the 1800 metres suits better," Payne said.

"She will then go to the Spring Champion Stakes and on to the Oaks in Melbourne."

Reem is by the English and Irish Derby winner Galileo, the sire of Irish Leger winner Sans Frontieres.

Praecido was runner-up to New Zealander Lion Tamer in the Ming Dynasty (1400m) on September 4.

Lion Tamer was also among the 17 nominations for the Gloaming, his next step towards the Spring Champion (2000m) and the Victoria Derby (2500m).

The Payne-trained Centennial Park will also be on a seven-day back-up when he contests the Shannon Stakes (1500m) two weeks before his Group One mission in the Epsom Handicap.

Like most of 93 Epsom entries, Centennial Park received the minimum 52 kilograms when weights were released on Monday.

"He runs in the Shannon and then the Epsom where (apprentice) Brenton Avdulla is his likely rider," Payne said.

Centennial Park ran fifth in Saturday's Theo Marks Stakes (1400m), finishing 5-3/4 lengths behind Epsom favourite More Joyous.

There were 19 entries for the Shannon including the Joe Pride-trained Neeson who is rated the main danger to More Joyous in the Epsom Handicap (1600m).
