Exciting Hussonet filly Girl Hussler will press her claims for a trip to Brisbane if she can negotiate the expected heavy track at Randwick on Saturday.

Trainer David Payne has a strong chance in the Adpartners Handicap (1100m) for two-year-olds in which, along with Girl Hussler, he has Kimberley Kid lining up.

Both are last-start winners.

The Randwick surface has been pelted with more than 75mm of rain since Tuesday and track manager Dave Hodgson predicts it will remain heavy.

"It was a heavy eight when I arrived this morning (Thursday) and it was up to a heavy nine by lunchtime and there is heavy rain on the way Friday night and showers race day," Hodgson said.

Girl Hussler defeated Madeittothemoon at Canterbury on debut over 1100 metres on May 12.

That day she jumped from barrier 11 of 12 and settled midfield before letting down with a strong finish to overhaul the gallant leader Madeittothemoon.

"She's a very good filly, could be our best," Payne said.

"The track is a concern but you don't know until you give them a go.

"We have to run her, she can convince us to take her to Brisbane if she goes well.

"We're not sure exactly which race up there, it might be just one of those Listed races."

Girl Hussler, who has been given 54.5kg, has barrier five of 13 and will be ridden by three kilogram-claiming apprentice Josh Adams.

Johannesburg gelding Kimberley Kid showed plenty of courage when he broke his maiden status at Rosehill over 1100 metres on May 2.

He held on to defeat Lagerphone and River Of Salvation, who dead-heated for second, with the winning margin a half-neck.

Prior to that he finished third to Modonna on a heavy track at Warwick Farm last month.

"He'll handle the going but there's no Brisbane trip for him, he will probably go to the paddock after this," Payne said.

"He stuck on and showed plenty of fight last start and that will hold him in good stead Saturday."

Baci Amore runs in the SSCF Golfers Handicap (1400m) and remains in the mix for a trip to Brisbane.

The Rock Of Gibraltar gelding is coming off a 1-1/2 length fourth to Related in the Listed Hawkesbury Guineas (1400m) on May 9.

"He's got to run because I want to run him in the Queensland Guineas," Payne said.

"He's very well and his run at Hawkesbury was very good, he was never on the track and did a great job considering."

The Group Two Queensland Guineas (1600m) is at Eagle Farm on June 6.
