John O'Shea will be a disappointed trainer if he doesn't strengthen his Golden Slipper hand at Randwick on Saturday.
O'Shea says his stable is left with two genuine chances in the world's richest two-year-old race: Wanted, winner of the Kindergarten Stakes at Randwick on Saturday, and Tickets.
"I wouldn't swap my two for anything else at this stage," O'Shea said, confirming Tickets would take his place in Saturday's Skyline Stakes.
Hugh Bowman returns from suspension to ride Tickets, winner of the Canonbury Stakes at his only start last month.
O'Shea said Tickets would continue to improve in the lead-up to the $3.5 million Golden Slipper at Rosehill on April 4.
"I have tried to keep him on the fresh side because if I put too much work into him, I'm concerned he might become a bit dour on me and you don't want that going into a Golden Slipper," O'Shea said.
Blake Shinn, meanwhile, will be re-united with Viewed when the Melbourne Cup winner continues his Sydney campaign in the Ranvet Stakes on Saturday week.
Shinn rode into the record books when he partnered the Bart Cummings-trained Viewed to a heart-stopping Melbourne Cup win last November.
Because of his alliance with Gai Waterhouse, Shinn hasn't been able to ride Viewed in two pleasing weight-for-age runs since resuming.
And in the aftermath of Saturday's Chipping Norton Stakes meeting, trainer Jason Coyle is resigned to losing talented sprinter Raheeb from his Warwick Farm stable.
Raheeb finished down the track in the Chipping Norton Stakes and vets have since found the stallion has a breathing problem.
"He'll be going to the paddock while connections decide on his future," Coyle said.
Coyle, who trained Livin' On The Edge to win at Warwick Farm on Monday, has no shortage of talent at his disposal when it comes to finding autumn replacements for Raheeb.
His team for Saturday's Randwick Guineas meeting includes Murtajill (Challenge Stakes), Diamonds Only and Marquardt (Sweet Embrace Stakes), Onemorenomore (Skyline Stakes), Dubai Miss (Eskimo Prince Stakes) and Danehill Smile and Litter (Wenona Girl Handicap).
Coyle said Golden Slipper contender Marquadt has overcome a minor setback and ahead of Saturday's Sweet Embrace.
The trainer told stewards the filly had had an abscess on her near fore heel after her third in the Widden Stakes on February 14.
He advised it had burst on February 26 and although Marquadt had missed two days of slow work she had compensated by swimming.
