Weekend options for talented three-year-old Rothesay remained open on Monday with the colt entered for two races at Rosehill and one at the Gold Coast.

Due to the Labour Day holiday in Queensland, final entries for the Gold Coast meeting will not be known until Tuesday delaying trainer Gerald Ryan's decision.

A last-start third in the Gosford Guineas, Rothesay could contest the Listed Prime Minister's Cup (1300m) at the Gold Coast or one of two races in Sydney.

"He will probably run at Rosehill in either the open handicap or the benchmark race," Ryan said.

"But I'll look at what else is in the Prime Minister's Cup before I decide.

"He would be on the minimum weight in that race while he's the highest rated horse in the benchmark race.

"The most likely option is the open handicap at Rosehill."

Last year's Brisbane Cup runner-up Ready To Lift is a definite starter at the Gold Coast as she continues her preparation aimed at another tilt at next month's Group Two race.

"She will run in the Hollindale Stakes, it's really the only race for her and the next step to the Brisbane Cup," Ryan said.

Ready To Lift only beat one runner home in the Emancipation Stakes last Saturday week which was her first start since her Melbourne Cup campaign was aborted after three unplaced runs down south in the spring.

"On face value I was disappointed with her first-up but (jockey) Glyn Schofield thought she went well and was happy with how she felt," Ryan said.

"So we will keep going to the Hollindale and then the Doomben Cup and the O'Shea Stakes on the way to the Brisbane Cup."

Queensland will also be the destination for two-year-old Rock My Heart who will back up at Rosehill after a barrier trial on Tuesday.

The colt has had one start for a second at Rosehill in January but Ryan believes he has plenty to give this time around.

"He will have one or maybe two runs in Sydney the go to north for the Sires Produce and the TJ Smith Stakes," Ryan said.

Stable star Melito will also head north to take on Ortensia in the major sprint races starting with the BTC Cup (1200m) on Saturday week.

Melito won last month's Group One TJ Smith Stakes (1200m) before her gallant second to pin-up mare Hot Danish in the All-Aged Stakes.

"She had a hard run against Hot Danish and it took her a week to get over it," Ryan said.

"But she's fine again now.

"She will take on Ortensia who is probably the best sprinting mare in Australia but Melito is the best filly and that's the level she's at."
