Moments after the Golden Slipper is run each year, a statue of a jockey at the Rosehill winning post is painted in the colours of the victorious owner.

John Singleton reckons they can put his blue and white up there now, almost three months before the race.

More Joyous is the reason for his confidence and her debut win at Rosehill on Saturday already has bookmaker Col Tidy ducking for cover.

Tidy's betchoice.com is the only agency to have framed a market so far and More Joyous sits atop at $5 after being backed in from $26.

She was sent out at $1.35 for her first start and although she was a little slow out of the barriers, she more than made up for it later in the race going on to record a dominant victory.

"They can save time and just paint the statue now," Singleton said.

Tidy is hoping Singleton is wrong.

"We laid her at $26 and she and Real Saga are already a bad result," he said.

Breeders' Plate winner Real Saga, who is trained by Michael, Wayne and John Hawkes, is at $9 and showed he was on track for his return to racing with a close second to Manhattan Rain in a recent barrier trial.

More Joyous is trained by Gai Waterhouse who claimed her first Golden Slipper winner in 2001 with the Singleton-owned Ha Ha.

A year earlier, the Clarry Conners-trained Belle Du Jour gave Singleton and his partners a memorable Slipper win but one that Tidy would prefer to forget.

Singleton won $1 million from the bookmaker in a stunning $100,000 bet.

"I really don't want that to happen again," Tidy said.

Waterhouse has yet to decide when More Joyous will have her next start but says she plans to only give her one or two more before the $3.5 million Golden Slipper on April 4.

Singleton's colours are already on display on the other side of the winning post signifying the winner of the BMW which was Tuesday Joy in 2008.

A close relation to More Joyous, Tuesday Joy suffered a bleeding attack in the Turnbull Stakes in October and had her first outing since when fifth of five in a barrier trial on Friday.

"It would be great to have the colours up there on both jockeys but I don't know about Tuesday Joy at this stage," Singleton said.
