Lightly-raced sprinter I Am Invincible has the world at his feet.

America's Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint (1300m) in November, the Hong Kong Sprint (1200m) in December and even a crack at Royal Ascot's big sprints next year are being touted for the four-year-old after his first-up win in Saturday's weight-for-age Listed Monash Stakes (1100m) at Caulfield.

Having his first start since stretching Takeover Target in the Group One Goodwood Handicap in Adelaide on May 2, he gave his supporters a scare when he missed the start but their concern was short-lived.

Jockey Darren Gauci said I Am Invincible baulked when the gates opened but once he gave him a "dig" he was up and running in the lead.

"He took a step backwards as the gates opened and as he jumped he seemed to hit the inside of the barrier," Gauci said.

At the top of the straight I Am Invincible quickened and while he was getting tired near the line he held on to win by a half-head from the Brian Mayfield-Smith-trained Gran Sasso.

Gran Sasso's stablemate Orange County was a length away third.

Trainer Peter Morgan said I Am Invincible's owners were keener than ever for the entire to run in America and he would gain an automatic start should he win the Manikato Stakes (1200m) at Moonee Valley on September 25, which is a qualifying race.

"He gets around the turns well so a track on turf in America would really suit him," Morgan said.

"He is by Invincible Spirit and if he can go over there and be competitive it would make him as a stallion and be worth a bit of money."

The owners have also fielded offers for I Am Invincible to race at Royal Ascot and stand at stud in England next year as he is by the same sire as this year's July Cup winner Fleeting Spirit.

The Group Three Bletchingly Stakes (1200m) at Caulfield on August 1 and the Group Three McEwen Stakes (1000m) at Moonee Valley on September 12 would be the next two runs for I Am Invincible.

Morgan may run I Am Invincible again at Flemington in the spring as a dry run for the Hong Kong Sprint.

"He has had two runs down the straight and failed and I wouldn't mind giving it another go at it because Hong Kong could be an option," Morgan said.

I Am Invincible has now won five of his 11 starts but suffered from feet problems until Morgan addressed them when he joined his stable earlier this year.

"We have managed his feet a bit and put a tongue tie on him and it is all working for him," Morgan said.
