Outstanding juvenile Frankel destroyed his rivals and kept his unbeaten record intact at Ascot with Frankie Dettori the other star of the afternoon with four winners.

Frankel is now a red-hot favourite for next season's 2000 Guineas and Derby after he romped home to beat Klammer by 10 lengths.

He was cut from 5-1 to 2-1 for the Guineas and 10-1 to 7-2 for the Derby.

Trainer Henry Cecil, when pressed to rate the son of Galileo, who is named after the late American trainer Bobby Frankel, did not hold back.

"He's exciting and has huge potential and I think he's slightly out of the ordinary," Cecil said.

"The way he won today, I doubt I've had a better two-year-old since Wollow and that was almost 40 years ago."

The rest of the afternoon belonged to Frankie Dettori, who bagged a four-timer on the 14th anniversary of his "magnificent seven" at the track.

While Poet's Voice confirmed his place in the mile rankings with victory in the feature Queen Elizabeth II Stakes, White Moonstone fired Classic dreams with victory in the Meon Valley Stud Fillies' Mile.

An impressive winner of the May Hill at Doncaster, she had to buckle down gamely to reel-in Theyskens' Theory and then hold Together by a fast-finishing neck at the line.

Stan James clipped the Godolphin-owned filly to 6-1 favourite for the 1000 Guineas and 7-1 for the Oaks.

"It's more likely we will take her back to Dubai than give her another race this year. Then we will bring her back for the Guineas," trainer Saeed Bin Suroor said.

"She is more of a three-year-old and should get a mile and a quarter. She could stay the Oaks distance, we will have to see."

Dettori teamed up to good effect once again with the David Nicholls-trained Redford as the pair streaked away with the Challenge Cup.

The rider was aboard when the five-year-old won last week's Ayr Gold Cup and he completed a memorable double with a length-and-three-quarter victory over Side Glance.

Connections may now point Redford at the Challenge Stakes and the Hong Kong Mile.

Dettori completed his four-timer when Rainfall showed her appreciation for a drop in class to take the Miles & Morrison October Stakes for Mark Johnston.

Dettori was denied a fifth triumph as Aaim To Prosper could finish only third behind Ermyn Lodge (7-1) in the concluding Tabac Gordon Carter Handicap.
