English import My Kingdom Of Fife maintained his unbeaten Australian record and earned Doomben Cup favouritism with a narrow victory in the Group Two Hollindale Stakes.

Ridden by Nash Rawiller, My Kingdom Of Fife edged out another former European Glass Harmonium by a long neck in Saturday's 1800m weight-for-age feature.

Perth stayer Scenic Shot, winner of the 2008 Hollindale Stakes was the same margin away third just in front of Melbourne's Heart Of Dreams.

Trainer Chris Waller wasn't getting carried away with the six-year-old's victory which followed his Doncaster Prelude win and a brilliant victory in the Group One Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Randwick.

"He likes Australia and he's got every reason to," said Waller.

"It was a good ride from Nash and he's a dream horse - we're living the dream.

"When he first came here he didn't show us that much but he still won first up.

"He's very professional. He got going early and stuck on well."

Waller made it back-to-back wins in the Hollindale Stakes following Metal Bender's victory last year.

The trainer has his sights aimed at the spring carnival in Melbourne but has been warned by owner Richard Pegum not to look too far ahead.

Rob Willis and Mike Buys of Brisbane share in the ownership with Pegum who is a hedge fund manager in Sydney.

Pegum's bloodstock agent Alistair Donald paid 60,000 guineas for My Kingdom Of Fife at a Tattersalls tried horse sale last year after the gelding was previously raced by the Queen.

"I didn't buy him and Richard deserves that credit," Waller said.

"Richard warned me not to look too far ahead. He says he's only a six-year-old gelding.

"But we'll be plotting a course to the Doomben Cup and we'll wait and see later about the spring."

Rawiller stopped short of saying he would continue his association with My Kingdom Of Fife during the spring.

"I've got a mare called More Joyous to ride then," he said.

"But he's a very good galloper and was very fresh today. We didn't want him to be too dour coming back in distance from his Queen Elizabeth win."

Jockey High Bowman was thrilled with the Australian debut of Glass Harmonium and was confident he could turn the tables on My Kingdom Of Fife in the Group One Doomben Cup (2020m) on May 28.

"It was an excellent run and he's right on track for the Doomben Cup," Bowman said.

"I'm confident I'll get his (My Kingdom Of Fife's) measure in the Doomben Cup."
