Trainer Rod Douglas has named the more experienced Boogaloo as the better chance ahead of stablemate Bequests in Saturday's AR Creswick Stakes at Flemington.

Boogaloo has had 12 starts and has been stakes-placed twice from three appearances at Listed level, although like Bequests has won twice on provincial tracks.

A grey by Encosta De Lago out of a half-sister to stakeswinner Purple Groove, Boogaloo was third to subsequent Group One Coolmore Classic winner Typhoon Tracy in the Listed Kevin Hayes Stakes (1200m) at Caulfield in January and at her latest appearance finished third to Burgeis in the Listed Proud Miss Stakes (1200m) at Morphettville on May 2.

"Boogaloo has come through the Adelaide trip well and has run well down the straight at Flemington to Kirvinsky so she'd be a chance," Douglas said.

"She doesn't cop hard work so we've kept her fresh and since we've started riding her quietly in races she's done well and she would benefit if the track softened up."

Bequests, by Stravinsky out of the stakeswinning Canny Lass mare Given, hasn't been out of a place in three starts and is chasing a winning hat-trick following victories at Warrnambool and Mornington.

"There's a question mark on Bequests class-wise but she's won her last couple and with the drop in weight we'll see if she's good enough," Douglas said.

Daniel Moor stays with Boogaloo on Saturday while Jason Benbow has been engaged to ride Bequests.

The pair is among four fillies in the straight 1200m three-year-year-old feature taking on seven colts and geldings, the others being the Danny O'Brien-trained Glam Slam and David Hayes' Pachanga.

Glam Slam has had only one run since coming from New Zealand where she ran fourth to Geeza in the Group Three Breeders Stakes (1200m) at Te Rapa on April 25 and that was when runner-up to Chameleon over 1200m at Flemington last Saturday.

The daughter of Pins is a full-sister to Crepe De Chine, a Group Three winner also prepared by O'Brien, and Arenti, the champion older sprinter in Singapore/Malaysia in 2006.

Redoute's Choice filly Pachanga, runner-up to Impressive Eagle in the Listed Laelia Stakes (1600m) at Morphettville on April 4, was blocked for a run when ninth in the Proud Miss.

Glam Slam is $3.40 favourite with TAB Sportsbet ahead of Boogaloo ($5.50), Swift Bay and Trustus at $6, last-start Caulfield winner Gold In Dubai ($6.50), Pachanga ($8.50) and Cascabel at $11.

Bequests is at $14.
