Anthony Cummings will rely on Nothin' Leica Cat in the Queensland Oaks with Miss Darcey off to the spelling paddock.

The AJC Australian Oaks third placegetter was equal favourite alongside Purple and Ekstreme with Nothin' Leica Cat on the second line of betting.

Nothin' Leica Cat finished fourth in the Randwick Classic and won an open handicap at the Gold Coast last week after missing a start in the Doomben Roses.

Miss Darcey ran fifth in the Group One Doomben Cup won by Scenic Shot on May 16 but co-owner Julia Ritchie said the camp believed she had now had enough.

"She has had a pretty hard campaign and it's probably best not to go on to the Oaks," Ritchie said.

However, Ritchie still has plenty of interest in a Queensland Group One win as a part-owner of Stradbroke Handicap contender Solo Flyer, also trained by Cummings.

Nothin' Leica Cat will face serious competition from close quarters in next Saturday's Oaks with Cummings' father Bart to send out AJC Oaks runner-up Think Money.

Although she is still a maiden, Think Money has pleased her trainer since her 2-1/4 lengths fifth in the Doomben Roses won by the Graeme Rogerson-trained Awesome Planet, her first start since the Oaks on April 18.

"She has done very well and I think she can win the Oaks," Cummings said.

But the biggest threat to either Cummings' entrant appears to come from across the Tasman with New Zealand fillies Ekstreme, Juice and Awesome Planet all boasting form around AJC Oaks winner Daffodil.

The John Wheeler-trained Juice scored a win over Daffodil last spring then ran second to her in the Thousand Guineas.

Ekstreme beat Daffodil in the Group Three Lowland Stakes in which Awesome Planet finished third.

The Lisa Latta-trained New Zealand Oaks runner-up Can't Keeper Down will go to the Queensland Oaks without an Australian leadup.

Trainer Kris Lees will have to wait until Wednesday to find out if Lacada Siren gains a start.

The filly finished second at Randwick on Saturday to the Rogerson-trained Queensland Derby contender Bid Spotter.

Lees will pay the Oaks acceptance fee and hope Lacada Siren makes it into the field.
