Clarry Conners couldn't confirm what path he'd take to get her there but he was certain promising filly Court was Stradbroke Handicap-bound following her dominant win at Doomben on Saturday.
Court ($4.80) gave Conners his third win in the Group Three $125,000 BTC Classic (1350m) when she stormed home from well back to score an authoritative win for Damien Oliver.
Conners had previously won the feature with Staging (1998) and Marlina (2001) and the Warwick Farm trainer quickly confirmed his Stradbroke plans for Court despite the filly being a borderline chance of getting a run with just 49.5kg.
"She's a very good filly," Conners said.
"Some of the things she does are pretty special and I'd love to start her in the Stradbroke. That's her main goal, put it that way."
Oliver rode Court at her previous start when she finished second to Belong To Many at the Gold Coast on May 2 and Conners said the experience of that ride was paramount in Saturday's victory.
"He learned a lot from riding her last start. He had to go back after drawing wide today and she has a brilliant sprint when she's allowed to find her feet early," Conners said.
Court produced a blistering sprint when Oliver called on her in the straight and raced away to score by three-quarters of a length from Leapfrog ($12) with New Zealander Geeza ($10) just a nose back in third.
Oliver and Court will part company should the Anabaa filly secure a Stradbroke start because he is no chance of making her weight and he jokingly urged Conners to consider other options.
"She'd be a definite chance in a race like the Stradbroke especially with no weight on her back," Oliver said.
"She has great acceleration and she really finished it off when she let down but I'd much rather her head to a fillies and mares race.
"We had to go back a bit further than I wanted off the wide gate but it was a very nice effort."
Sydney gelding Desuetude started the well-supported $3.70 favourite but his backers were never hopeful and the horse only battled in the straight to finish seventh.
