Melbourne colt Chilled By Choice could find himself pitted against the best three-year-olds after being nominated as a late entry for the Group One Rosehill Guineas.

Chilled By Choice was thrown in on Tuesday as the only late nomination for the 2000m Group One at Rosehill with the maiden colt not certain to gain a start in either of two races at Caulfield.

Trainer Russell Cameron said the owners would make a decision overnight with Sydney acceptances due on Wednesday morning.

The Rosehill Guineas field is headed by Group One Randwick Guineas winner Shoot Out and Group One Australian Guineas winner Rock Classic.

Chilled By Choice has raced five times with his most recent effort a close second in a 2040m 3YO Open Handicap at Moonee Valley on March 8.

Prior to that the colt finished just over three lengths behind Extra Zero, another Rosehill Guineas nomination, in the Group Two Autumn Classic (1800m) at Caulfield.

"We don't know yet (if he'll run in Sydney)," Cameron said.

"We'll make up our mind by the morning.

"They might be too good for him (in the Guineas) but he hasn't been that far away in some good races in Melbourne.

"But he might not get a run at Caulfield."

The colt is also nominated for a $90,000 3YO Handicap over 2000m at Caulfield and a $70,000 Open Handicap over the same trip.

Another notable late nomination for the Rosehill Guineas meeting is the Bart Cummings-trained Skorost in the Pago Pago Stakes (1200m).

The Pago Pago Stakes for colts and geldings and The Magic Night Stakes for the fillies is the final chance for the two-year-olds to squeeze their way into the $3.5 million Golden Slipper to be run at Rosehill the following Saturday.

Skorost finished 10th on debut in last Saturday's Todman Slipper Trial behind Masquerader when he was slowly away and raced greenly.

The colt appeared as a late nomination for Saturday's race after working at Randwick on Tuesday morning.

The Tim Martin-trained last start winner Sasa and the Greg McFarlane-trained Biggietupac were also late nominations for the Magic Night Stakes.
