Jockey Kathy O'Hara is confident boom filly Chance Bye's early speed will negate her wide barrier in the rich Inglis Classic.
Punters agree, with Chance Bye opening up the $1.90 favourite on TAB Sportsbet for Saturday's $250,000 Classic (1200m) at Rosehill.
The Snitzel juvenile has the widest gate, 10.
"I'm not overly concerned, she's quite fast so drawing out wide won't be a problem for her," O'Hara said.
"This is a big test for her but she's up to it."
O'Hara rode the filly in an exhibition gallop at Kembla Grange on the NSW South Coast last Saturday and was pleased with the hitout.
Trained by Michael Tubman at Kembla, Chance Bye ran the final 600 metres of the gallop in 33.59s.
"She's still a bit green and new and wobbled around in a bit on the course proper but she still felt good," O'Hara said.
"She also felt like she's got something more up her sleeve for Saturday too."
Chance Bye burst onto the scene with a dominant all-the-way victory in the Inglis Nursery (1000m) at Randwick in December with O'Hara aboard.
She drew favourably in barrier two and was able to dictate terms from the outset on debut.
The filly who cost $15,000, defeated Slice And Dice by 3-1/2 lengths running the trip in 57.52s and rattling home in her last 600 metres in 33.84s.
O'Hara believes Chance Bye will appreciate the step up to 1200 metres.
"I don't think it will be a worry for her, she was very strong to the line on debut and gives every indication she'll handle it," O'Hara said.
Chance Bye has already won $170,000 prizemoney from her one start with Tubman and her owners also collecting when they backed her at $26 two days out from the race.
The filly started the $4 equal favourite and a win on Saturday will take her to $320,000.
The Kris Lees-trained Testarhythm was the $4.40 second favourite on Thursday ahead of the Grahame Begg-trained Ilovethiscity ($6).
Testarhythm was a short neck second on debut to Top Drop at Rosehill over 1100 metres last Saturday.
The Testa Rossa colt drew the widest barrier, 10, on debut and had to be ridden quietly before hitting the line with plenty of purpose.
He jumps from barrier five and will be ridden by Jim Cassidy.
Spot The Rock from the Tim Martin stable is on the fourth line of betting at $8.50 ahead of the Rick Worthington-trained Third Man ($12).
The Mark De Montfort-trained Travaldo is next at $15 ahead of the John Thompson-trained Inadequate at $17.
Inadequate was sixth to Chance Bye on debut in the Inglis Nursery and is a half-brother to 2004 Inglis Classic winner Commands Nothin'
The Inglis Classic is restricted to horses sold through William Inglis and Son.
