Kembla trainer Michael Tubman believes the fairytale can continue with his boom filly Chance Bye in Saturday's Group Two Silver Slipper at Rosehill, declaring she has come on in leaps and bounds ahead of her biggest test to date.

Chance Bye has been dominant in two wins from as many starts but needs to step up again against the likes of Georgette Silk and Ambers Waltz in the Silver Slipper (1100m) if she's to qualify for the $3.5 million Golden Slipper (1200m) on April 3.

The filly is currently on the fourth line of betting for the Golden Slipper at $11 with TAB Sportsbet even though she is yet to earn a dollar of prizemoney towards getting into the race.

Chance Bye has won $341,000 in her two starts but none of that is eligible to get her into the Slipper as it came in Inglis sales restricted races.

But Tubman isn't worried.

"She's come on in leaps and bounds," he said.

"She's mentally stronger and physically stronger. She's scary."

The horseman went as far as to say he thinks the filly has improved six lengths since she won the $250,000 Inglis Classic (1200m) by 3-1/2 lengths over Ilovethiscity last month.

"She's flying, and the best part about her is that with two-year-olds mentally a lot can't handle it but she's just thrived on it," he said.

"This is going to be her third race, I've done the same thing every time and she now knows she's going to the races on Saturday."

The trainer has spaced Chance Bye's runs out so far, mindful not to overtax the daughter of Snitzel in her first preparation of racing.

Chance Bye debuted at Randwick on December 19 and won the $200,000 Inglis Nursery (1000m) by 3-1/2 lengths.

Five weeks later she won by the same margin at Rosehill.

On Saturday, it will again be five weeks between runs.

And if she wins the Silver Slipper, Tubman will give her another five weeks before her next run - in the Golden Slipper.

"She's had the perfect preparation so far," he said.

"She hasn't had any setbacks, I've planned what I wanted to do with her and I've been able to do it. The rain could've been a factor but luckily I've been able to do the work I've wanted on the days I've wanted."

If she doesn't win on Saturday Tubman will consider another Slipper lead-up race to get Chance Bye there but he won't risk her to do it.

"I wouldn't bust her to get there. I've planned for her to get there but I'll worry about the horse before I worry about the Slipper," he said.
