Sincero isn't ready to return a peak campaign rating at Scone but trainer Stephen Farley isn't fazed heading into the richest race over the two-day carnival.

Sincero, on a run of six straight wins, is almost certain to start one of the shortest priced favourites during the country racing extravaganza when he lines up in the $250,000 Inglis 3YO Guineas (1600m).

But not even a solid Randwick barrier trial last Friday is enough to convince Farley the three-year-old will be at the height of his powers on Saturday.

"The trial gave him the blow-out he needed but he's still not wound right up yet because it will be only his second run back," Farley said.

Sincero resumed where he left off in the summer when he crushed his Gosford Guineas rivals on a bog track on Anzac Day.

He put five lengths on a field which included high-profile stakes fillies Obsequious and Panipique as well as the previously unbeaten Happy Patrick.

Assessing the depth of Saturday's field, Sincero would appear to be facing a lesser challenge because of the restricted conditions of the race.

Fifteen horses were entered on Monday but with a field capacity of 16, nominations were extended.

It was the only race the Scone Race Club was forced to re-open as 585 horses were entered over the two days.

"With so many entries a few of my other horses will struggle to get runs but at least it's all systems go for Sincero," Farley said.

An $8000 yearling, Sincero's value skyrocketed earlier this season as he ran through the grades with a minimum of fuss.

A horse with a strapping physique, Sincero is reported to have attracted a $1 million offer from Asia but Farley says interest seems to have died down on the sale front despite the emphatic nature of his Gosford win.

"It's been very quiet this time," he said.

"All the offers that have come in before, I've handed them over to the owners and they have weighed everything up.

"As it is, I'm glad he's still in my stable."

Sincero has been trained to peak when he arrives in Brisbane later this month with Farley keeping his mind open about a specific Queensland target.

"The first race he will have in Brisbane will be the QTC Cup," Farley said.

"If he could win that then he would be qualified for the Stradbroke Handicap otherwise there's the Queensland Guineas on the same day.

"I haven't made a strong decision either way but for me as a small-time trainer it would be great to have a runner in a Group One race like the Stradbroke."

Sincero is TAB Sportsbet's Stradbroke Handicap favourite at $5.

Among Sincero's better performed Scone rivals will be the promising Victorian three-year-old Speediness.

Speediness was having only his fifth start when he closed strongly to finish second to Pimpala Secret in the Hawkesbury Guineas.
