Corey Brown will honour his booking for the Golden Slipper long shot Hot Snitzel.

The confirmation of his Slipper ride comes 24 hours after he tried to gain a release from Hot Snitzel to ride the Bart Cummings-trained Salade.

Brown was booked for the Hot Snitzel mount on Friday, a day before he helped Salade make a belated run at Golden Slipper glory with his Pago Pago Stakes win.

Salade firmed from $101 to $13 and Brown and his manager Brett Grant spent most of Sunday unsuccessfully trying to put forward a case for a release from Hot Snitzel.

Monday talks with Triple Crown Bloodstock, the company which syndicated the youngster, resolved the issue.

"Corey wanted to continue his association with Salade but we asked him to honour his commitment to Hot Snitzel," Triple Crown's Michael Ward told AAP.

"He is professional and naturally we are pleased he will be riding our horse.

"I'd like to think the horse is a sneaky chance with a bit of luck."

Brown was almost resigned to being held to the Hot Snitzel ride as early as Sunday.

"The last thing I want to do is cause any dramas," Brown said at the time.

"It's not my thing to be jumping on and off horses. At least I've got a ride in the race."

Hot Snitzel, the first Golden Slipper runner for Triple Crown, is a $51 chance in latest betting.

Brown was in the saddle when Hot Snitzel made a winning debut at Rosehill in December.

Bad manners cost him dearly in the Inglis Nursery at his next start and he returned for his autumn campaign as a gelding when narrowly beaten in the Skyline Stakes.

His Golden Slipper preparation wound up with a Randwick barrier trial placing on Friday.
