Corey Brown believes he will have a numerical edge in his Sydney jockeys' premiership showdown with Nash Rawiller.

"I've got some advantage because I can ride at 53 kilos whereas Nash can't take rides under 55 kilos," Brown said.

Brown is four wins behind Rawiller heading into Saturday's Randwick meeting but is reluctant to declare his chances as he chases a second Sydney title.

"I'm not saying I can win it but I'm not saying I can't either," he said.

"It is certainly going to be interesting. I will just keep doing what I've been doing.

"But it is going to be good for racing to have something to soup it up for the next few weeks."

Rawiller rode two winners to Brown's one at Randwick on Wednesday to extend his lead as he tries to win his first major premiership.

He has six Randwick rides on Saturday against Brown's full book of eight.

Brown, meanwhile, has been invited to take part in an international jockeys' series in France next month.

It will be the second time this year the Melbourne Cup-winning rider has competed against some of the world's best jockeys in a series.

He took part in the inaugural Meydan Masters International Jockeys' Series in Dubai in March but failed to figure behind the winner Richard Hills.
