Trainer David Brideoake is excited about the prospects of talented filly Warm Love who is scheduled to resume racing next month.

The three-year-old filly was competitive against the best sprinters in an autumn campaign which culminated in a Group One third behind Black Caviar and Hay List in the Lightning Stakes.

The Mornington-based Brideoake predicts she is set for an even better upcoming campaign.

"There is a really nice bunch of races ahead for her," Brideoake said.

He said he was yet to decide on her first-up run but it would be either at weight-for-age in the Listed Monash Stakes (1100m) at Caulfield on July 16 or against fillies over 1000 metres at Flemington a week later.

Last campaign Warm Love delivered on her early promise winning three races in a row against older horses at Flemington, three-year-olds at Caulfield and fillies at Caulfield.

A brave long neck second to Grand Duels in the Listed Kensington Stakes (1000m) at Flemington on January 22 was indicative of her class and her third Lightning Stakes (1000m) on February 19 was confirmation.

"She was fabulous in the autumn and the horse herself is a lot better to train now," Brideoake said.

"She is really relaxed and her pedigree would suggest she will improve."

Passed in at $280,000 as a yearling, the daughter of Octagonal has raced 12 times for five wins and four placings.

Her record at stakes level is an impressive win and three placings from four runs.

As two-year-old she was placed behind Golden Slipper Stakes winner Crystal Lily in a Blue Diamond Preview and won the Listed Queen Adelaide Stakes.

Her dam Charangas was a winning daughter of Flying Spur while her grand-dam La Mambo was a half sister to dual Oaks winner and Group One producer Domino and champion New Zealand juvenile Super Natural.

The family also includes Halibery who was Group One-placed in the Blue Diamond Stakes and a Group Two winner of Schillaci Stakes.
