Blinkers will go back on Phelan Ready in an attempt to help the 2009 Golden Slipper winner rediscover his best form in Saturday's Group Three George Moore Stakes at Eagle Farm.

The four-year-old finished 12th, less than four lengths from winner Falco Star, in his comeback in the Keith Noud Quality (1200m) at Doomben on November 20.

Phelan Ready hasn't won since his victory in the Golden Slipper at Rosehill in April last year.

The son of More Than Ready wore blinkers in his Golden Slipper triumph and also in his Magic Millions Classic win three months earlier.

Trainer Jason McLachlan, who teamed with his late father Bruce McLachlan in his Golden Slipper and Magic Millions successes, conceded it had been a frustrating period since Phelan Ready's glory days.

"It's been a bit frustrating but the horse is spot on now," McLachlan said.

"He didn't have much luck and ran out of room in the straight last start.

"I didn't have blinkers on him last time but I'm putting them back on for the George Moore.

"He's won a Golden Slipper and Magic Millions in them and I'm hoping they'll keep him a bit sharper."

McLachlan will decide after the George Moore (1200m) which direction Phelan Ready will take during the summer months.

Stablemate Facile Tigre also is entered for the George Moore but may struggle to make the field on the minimum 53 kilograms.

"He's going good this time in and has done plenty of work," McLachlan said.

"He's taken a bit of time to mature and was light boned when we first got him."

Facile Tigre has won three of his six starts but hasn't raced since finishing second to Fleet `N' Fast over 1110 metres at Doomben on June 14.

Meanwhile promising filly Demanding Miss has been sent to Sydney and will bypass the Listed Mode Plate (1200m).

Demanding Miss hasn't started since winning on a heavy track over 1400 metres at Randwick in July and finished third in an 860-metre barrier trial at Doomben last week ahead of her comeback in the Blackwoods For Galmet Handicap (1200m) at Rosehill on Saturday.

"She left by float yesterday for Sydney as she's a BOBS graduate and her owners are chasing the prize money down south," trainer Barry Baldwin said.

"If she goes good enough she'll come back for the Magic Millions (Guineas) in January."

Demanding Miss has won twice in her nine-start career which also includes a third to Military Rose in the Magic Millions Classic in January.
