Lightning Stakes day is shaping as family day for Black Caviar with her unraced half-brother All Too Hard entered for the Listed Talindert Stakes at Flemington.

A son of Casino Prince, All Too Hard is trained by Wayne, Michael and John Hawkes and is one of 14 two-year-olds entered for Saturday's 1100m event.

Last Friday All Too Hard impressed winning an 800m jump-out at Flemington and Wayne Hawkes said the colt was progressing well.

"It is a possibility he will run at Flemington on Saturday or he may go to Sydney for a race later on," Hawkes said.

"We are not sure what we are going to do with him but there are plenty of options."

Owned by Nathan Tinkler, All Too Hard cost $1.025 million but has not been rushed.

On Friday he beat the Peter Snowden-trained Forget who is also entered for the Talindert, and four others, in his jump-out, running 47.05s.

Black Caviar is a strong chance of backing up in Saturday's Group One Lightning Stakes after pulling up well from her easy win in last Saturday's Group One Orr Stakes (1400m) at Caulfield.

Racegoers packed Caulfield and similar scenes are expected if the unbeaten champion chases a record-equalling 19th win in a row on Saturday.

Last year Black Caviar won the Lightning Stakes by 3-1/4 lengths.

All Too Hard has much to live up to but impresses Hawkes with his relaxed temperament.

Other Talindert entries include dual stakes placegetter Timely Truce, and stakes-placed youngsters Snitzerland, trained by Gerald Ryan, and Lil Red Corvette from the Ellerton-Zahra yard who recently won first-up at Moonee Valley.

Black Caviar's trainer Peter Moody has entered Kyneton winner Liberty Rock and Strive To Excel, an unraced half-brother to Moody's Group One Emirates Stakes winner Sky Cuddle.
