Trainer Grahame Begg was happy to hear Doncaster favourite All Silent had received 54 kilograms for the $2 million race, fearing he may have been given more.

The Emirates Stakes winner will begin his campaign in Saturday's Liverpool City Cup (1300m) at Randwick and is the $6.50 favourite with TAB Sportsbet for the Doncaster Mile on April 11.

Weekend Hussler received topweight of 60kg for the Doncaster, 1-1/2 kilos clear of El Segundo.

"I'm pretty pleased with 54 kilos." Begg said.

"I think he has been fairly treated in comparison to Weekend Hussler.

"A few people told me to expect 55."

The possibility of Weekend Hussler running in the $2 million race is remote due to his recent form lapse which has ruled out a trip to Dubai and El Segundo will be off the scene until at least the spring with a joint injury.

Niconero, winner of Saturday's Futurity Stakes and Melbourne Cup winner Viewed received 57kg, half a kilo more than star mare Tuesday Joy and her stablemate Theseo.

Second favourite Hot Danish ($10) has 53.5kg while the three horses on the third line of betting at $12 - Alamosa, Forensics, and Whobegotyou - have 56kg, 55kg and 54kg respectively.

Hot Danish, winner of the Group Two Salinger Stakes in the spring, made a successful return in the Breeders' Classic (1200m) on February 14 and is among the entries for Saturday's Wiggle Quality (1400m).

New Zealander Mufhasa, winner of the Group One Telegraph Handicap (1200m) carrying 55.5kg, has a kilo less in the Doncaster.

The Stephen McKee-trained four-year-old won the weight-for-age Waikato Sprint (1400m) at his most recent start and has two 1600m wins to his credit including the Group Two Couplands Mile last spring.

Emerging star Mic Mac firmed to $13 after his win in Saturday's Hobartville Stakes and was given 51kg in the Doncaster.
