Darren Beadman put a week of controversy behind him to rack up a Hong Kong personal best of four winners on Saturday's Sha Tin program.

Beadman came under fire from the local media and was quizzed by stewards over his ride on beaten favourite Collection in last Sunday's QEII Cup.

Stewards told Beadman he had an obligation to fully test his mounts but took no action.

Beadman showed no signs of pressure as he set about gathering his four-win haul on Saturday.

"I've won four or more plenty of times in Australia but never in Hong Kong," Beadman said.

"It's been an interesting week but I'm glad it's behind me.""

All four winners were saddled up by the jockey's retaining trainer John Moore who told the South China Morning Post the criticism had brought the "eye of the tiger" out in Beadman.

"There's no better answer for what Darren's been through this past week than to ride like he has today. He was just brilliant," Moore said.

Brett Prebble renewed his quest for the premiership riding one winner to draw level again with the suspended Douglas Whyte.

The two are on 73 wins for the season which ends next month.
