Trainer Grahame Begg will wait until later in the week to make a decision on whether All Silent runs at Moonee Valley on Saturday.

After an autumn campaign thwarted by wet tracks, All Silent put in a brilliant first-up performance to nab First Command on the line in the Group Two Gilgai Stakes (1200m) at Flemington on October 3.

First Command bounced back from that defeat to take out Saturday's Caulfield Sprint (1100m) and he and All Silent are headed to a tantalising clash in the Group One Patinack Farm Classic (1200m) on November 14.

Begg said he would decide whether to start All Silent in the Schweppes Stakes (1200m) after he worked on Thursday.

"We will assess him after he gallops on Thursday," Begg said.

"The original plan was to have two starts this spring in the Gilgai and the Patinack Farm but we'll see."

The Group Two weight-for-age Schweppes Stakes (1200m) has attracted a class line-up with Apache Cat, Danleigh, Duporth, Lucky Secret, Mic Mac and Ortensia among the 13 nominations.

Many of those horses are on trial for a tilt at the Hong Kong International Sprint (1200m) on December 13 in which Apache Cat finished third last year.

Australia's champion racehorse, world class sprinter Scenic Blast, has arrived safely in Hong Kong after his failure in the Spring Stakes in Japan and plans are to continue towards the International Sprint.

All Silent has been vaccinated for Hong Kong but Begg has still not decided whether to target the Sprint or step him up to the Mile.

In 1996 and 1997 Begg won the Hong Kong Bowl with Monopolize but that 1400m race no longer exists as part of the International day.

All Silent won the 2008 Emirates Stakes (1600m) but Begg deliberately decided not to target the race again believing it might overtax the six-year-old with the Hong Kong trip in mind.

All Silent is a half brother to the outstanding Private Steer who won the 2003 Stradbroke Handicap as a three-year-old filly and came back the following year to win the Doncaster Handicap and All-Aged Stakes.
