The all-conquering Canberra team of jockey Kevin Sweeney and trainer Keith Dryden will hit Sydney on Tuesday with De Prima Ballerina to run at Canterbury.

Sweeney enjoyed his biggest day out at Canberra on Sunday when he booted home five winners, three of which were trained by Dryden.

Dryden said the 55-year-old rider's feat added a new dimension to the race day.

"It was a great day and as it went on the crowd got right into it and there was a great atmosphere at the track," Dryden said.

"By the time it got to the last race most of them thought he would ride six and I was a bit worried because he was on my horse Shwedagon and I didn't think it could win.

"It didn't win but everyone still went home happy."

Dryden also nominated De World Cup for Canterbury but after the three-year-old filly drew barrier 11 he decided to hold her debut over for another day.

But De Prima Ballerina is ready to improve on her fourth on her home track on February 6.

"She's been to town twice before and the first time she didn't have a lot of luck," Dryden said.

"Jim Cassidy rode her and asked to ride her again but when I took her to Warwick Farm she was disappointing.

"It was a better effort the other day, she wasn't beaten that far."

Dryden is happy with how the stable is going and the news is also good for star filly De Lightning Ridge who is making a sound recovery from a cracked pelvis.

The one-time favourite for the 2008 Golden Slipper, De Lightning Ridge failed to make the race but showed a return to form in October when she won at Canterbury.

She was spelled after failing in the Brian Crowley Stakes later that month.

The filly was back in work and ready to step up the tempo when she showed signs of soreness and eventually the injury was detected.

"At first we couldn't find out what it was so we sent her to Sydney where they found the crack in her pelvis," Dryden said.

"She has been in a box for two months and is now ready to go out into a small yard.

"We are probably looking at another five months with her."

Hugh Bowman will ride at the Canterbury meeting before he begins a suspension which will force him to miss the Surround Stakes ride on Samantha Miss.

Bowman incurred the ban for his ride on third placed Typhoon Zed in Saturday's Oakleigh Plate at Caulfield.
