Another big race, another big winner and exotic pickup for the PPD Club's extraordinary tipster Brian Blackwell. One member emailed last week to say BB is 'a genius' and that glowing comment followed his successful advice for Geelong winner DASHIELL $13.90/$2.70 on March 6. Not only did BB get the winner he also advised the main danger as Set To Skelter and this horse ran 2nd to land a $59 exacta.  On Sunday, BB was on the winning trail again with his headlined best bet MINNIE DOWNS 1st $5.60/$1.90 in the Echuca Cup - plus he gave runner-up Kitten On The Run as the main danger. The exacta paid $31.40. Here is exactly what BB advised PPD Club memnbers for both these superb winners:

MINNIE DOWNS
Returning from a break of three months, the smart mare (4) Minnie Downs 11/2 appeals as an eachway job for race 6, the Echuca Cup 1400m at Echuca on Sunday, The Brian Cox trained 5YO has a handy record first-up. Last time in she returned from a break to come from last on the turn for 3rd/9 Caulfield 1400m (mares) on Sep 21, btn 1.4 lens. At the final start of her 5-race campaign she was 3rd/11 Flem 1720m in RB90, btn 4.2 lens by the useful Backstedt. She's on the Limit 54kgs today. The nod for the main danger runner goes to the UK import (3) Kitten On The Run 6/4. The 4YO is now with Peter Moody and he shaped OK for 6th/10 in a BM90 at Caul 1400m on Feb 22.
DASHIELL
Luckless at Bendigo last start, (4) Dashiell 13/2 deserves another chance in race 8, an RB64 hdcp 1300m at Geelong on Thursday.  The 5YO travelled nicely back on the rails in a Showcase BM70 at Bendigo 1300m on Feb 20 but jockey Matthew Allen was always going to be searching for clear running at the business end of the race - and the gaps just never came. Dashiell was cluttered up on the inside all the way to the post, finishing 11th/13, btn 3.2 lens by the useful Here To There. His previous form was solid - 4th/14 at Caulfield 1200m in BM64 on Feb 5 and 2nd/11 Geelong 1312m in the same class on Jan 29. With some luck from his outside gate the Rob Griffiths trained gelding should be right in the finish. As for the main danger - it could well be the morning line favorite (10) Set To Skelter 11/8 who although coming off a Maiden win does look like a very smart mare capable of making the rise in class. Her Moonee Valley 1200m win on Feb 14 was most promising.
