Chris Munce was THE success story of the 2011-12 racing season. He became the first jockey to ride 100 winners in a Brisbane metropolitan season and eclipsed Mick Dittman's 38-year record of 98 wins before scoring aboard Belltone in the Glasshouse Handicap to give him a century of winners for the season. Munce finished the year with 103 wins, almost double his nearest rival, apprentice Tim Bell on 56. Munce's season was given added lustre by his feat of riding more city winners than any other jockey. His closest rival was Hugh Bowman with 93.5 winners.
