He's back (almost)...Former bookmaker Neville Clements has won his appeal against his warning-off from all Victorian racecourses, but he must wait for a further appeal against a similar ruling by Queensland authorities before he's permitted back on the racetrack. Clements is seeking to be re-instated on all Australian racetracks as early as next week whenh he fronts the appeal board in Queensland. Yesterday's Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal ruling found that Clements is not subject to the rules of racing. In March, the Racing Appeals and Disciplinary Board ruled that Clements be banned indefinately from all Victorian racecourses after he refused to provide stewards with full mobile phone records during the inquiry into a number of beaten rides of jockey Dan Nikolic. Now, though, the finding and penalty are set aside.
