The Age reports that the Damien Oliver case, and apparently the Danny Nikolic drama has not affected TAB turnover. It says: 'Between the Caulfield meeting on September 22 and the Ballarat Cup on November 25 - the designates spring carnival - Tabcorp filled its boots...Total New South Wales and Victorian TAB turnover on all horse and greyhound racing in the 65-day period was $2.1 billion, up 5.9 per cent on last year. This did not include Tabcorp's Luxbet, fixed odds sport and Trackside.'

Still promising to get his act together...TVN reports that Daniel Ganderton will try to resurrect his 'tarnished career' by moving to WA when his current three-month disqualification ends. It says: 'Ganderton first came to prominence when he started riding for Gai Waterhouse in Sydney during the 2008/9 season, eventually winning the apprentices title in Sydney that season. Since then he has found trouble with stewards, twice involved in cases of not allowing horses to run on their merits, and the most recent a nasty incident in a Sydney hotel with an unknown woman, when he was suspended for two months for "conduct prejudicial to the image of racing". Ganderton was quoted in this morning's Daily Telegraph in Sydney as saying: "I know I have made a lot of mistakes. But, I'm keen to make a change and fix things up."
